Soul Contracts, Karma & Why Some Relationships Feel Like Lightning

Some connections don't unfold slowly.
They strike like lighting.

They unravel you in seconds, speak to parts of you you've forgotten, and ignite something ancient-so intimate it feels impossible.
You may meet someone and feel like you’ve known them forever.
You may only know them for days, but they change the shape of your life.

These are not coincidences. These are soul contracts.

What Is a Soul Contract?

A soul contract is a pre-incarnational agreement between two (or more) souls to meet again in this lifetime for a specific purpose:
healing, remembering, completing karma, unlocking gifts, or all of the above.

Not all contracts are meant to last forever.
Not all of them feel easy.
But each one serves your evolution.

You’ve likely felt it:

  • The lover who cracked you open

  • The friend who mirrored your shadow

  • The teacher who catalyzed your awakening

  • The stranger who said exactly what you needed to hear

These moments aren’t random.
They’re initiations.

Why Some Relationships Feel Like Lightning

Lightning-strike connections often happen when:

  • A deep karmic thread is ready to resolve

  • A dormant gift within you is ready to activate

  • You’re standing at a soul threshold and need a mirror or catalyst

These bonds stir the subconscious. They disorient you on purpose.
They’re not here to validate the past.
They’re here to rearrange your future.

Some people enter your life to:

  • Awaken your inner serpent (kundalini, creativity, life force)

  • Break patterns that no longer serve you

  • Bring an unresolved past-life dynamic to the surface

  • Love you so deeply it shatters the version of you that settled for less

Karmic or Cosmic?

There’s a difference between karmic and soul-expanding love:

  • Karmic: Often intense, sometimes addictive, it brings your shadows up for healing. It can feel like you're stuck in a loop until the lesson is fully integrated.

  • Soul-expanding: These relationships may feel equally intense but they liberate you. You feel more yourself, more awake, more aligned after them, even if they don’t last forever.

The trick is learning when a contract is complete-when it’s time to bless and release.

Closing the Contract with Grace

If you feel a soul contract is complete (even if your heart still aches), you can consciously honor the ending:

  1. Write them a letter (sent or unsent)
Thank them for the gifts, name the patterns, release the cord.

  2. Say this aloud:
“I honor the purpose you served. I release you with gratitude and grace. Our contract is now complete in the highest good.”

  3. Offer it to fire, water, or earth.
    Let nature hold the end.

Remember: letting go is not failure. It’s fulfillment.

A Final Transmission

You are not crazy for feeling deeply.
You are not broken because they left.
You are not behind because it ended quickly.

You are in the curriculum of your soul.

Some people arrive not to stay but to remember you back to yourself.

Honor the contract. Bless the lightning. Then become the storm.
